With significant experience in construction management and design, our firm approaches your project from a different angle than a typical architecture firm. We firmly believe that you should build something that you can afford, so we start the process with your budget in mind.

No Project is ever the same with its own intricacies and needs. After an initial consultation, we'll create a proposal with an estimate of the hours it will take to provide you with completed, stamped documents, ready for building. As with most service firms, Cory Smith Designs provide services on an hourly basis.

Following is a brief overview of each stage of the project process:

1. Initial Consultation (One meeting--one hour) :

The first step is to meet in your home to discuss the initial parameters of your project. Whether it be a renovation or a brand new house, this is where you describe your ‘dream home’ and ‘wish list’ that comprises the essence of your particular project. It may be a screened-porch addition or a three-story estate. If you are thinking of an addition, we’ll walk through your existing home, discussing all of your grand plans. The feasibility of your project will be assessed with regards to budget and structure, as well as your time line for completion. We will then send you a proposal for architecture services outlining the project scope, budget and estimated time line. If you are interested in a design-build partnership, our firm will create a proposal for the additional construction services, as well.
